William Wilson’s life reads like one of his novels raw, unpredictable, and rich with adventure. Born in the heart of southern rural America, he ventured north to Indiana, where he balanced the grit of factory work and the creativity of window design while chasing his dreams.
After a brief stint at a teacher’s college, he found himself at a small Baptist college in Tennessee, only to trade textbooks for a military uniform in 1963. Serving four years in the U.S. Air Force Security Service, Wilson’s journey took him from the sun-soaked shores of Crete, Greece, to the vibrant streets of Europe before landing him back in the States at Kelly Air Force Base in San Antonio.
Post-military life saw Wilson behind the bar, first as a bartender, then as a tavern owner, soaking up the stories of everyday people that would later fuel his writing.
Today, he resides in Florida, drawing from a lifetime of experiences to craft gripping tales of crime, corruption, and redemption. His novels are as layered and complex as his life a testament to a man who’s seen the world face its shadows and lived to tell the tale.
